Profile
Optical Surface Technologies (OST) is the leading European producer of cerium oxide based glass polishing powders. We have been making polishing powders in our UK factory under the well-known Regipol™ brand since the early 1960s.
OST purchased the Tecepol brand of polishes at the end of 1995. This further strengthened our position as a major manufacturer of glass polishing powders. All Tecepol® polishing powders are now produced at OST's UK factory. Strategic acquisitions of this kind are possible because OST is part of the Metallurg group, an international organisation with headquarters in New York and operations in four continents.
Our products are sold through a well-established global network of distributors. OST's distributors and customers have access to our experience and support, ensuring that the best results are achieved with our product. Choosing cerium oxide made by OST means choosing cerium oxide by a company that knows the business.
OST also supply the Polimax range of alumina polishing agents for plastic lenses (CR39 and polycarbonate) and our Decol products are used in the decolourisation of glass.
